Working in a Charity Shop is Better Than You’d Think

[Picture]

Yeah, so I work in a charity shop now. Started yesterday, all of the people that work there are really nice as you’d expect, I like it, it’s a super relaxing atmosphere. I was kinda scared about going in at first because I was worried I’d have to work on the till, but luckily I didn’t, turns out there is about 5 people out the back sorting out stuff people bring in. Why do people bring in video tapes though? Honestly who watches them any more? Haha.

I’ve been playing quite a lot of Street Fighter as a usually do, I often get a bit crazy with my character choices sometimes, I try and play every character I can (because it’s more fun that way) but then realise I’ve had no practice with any of them them and thus lose. So I’ve decided to stick to the characters I know (Sakura, Dan and Abel), at least in championship matches because I tend to win a lot more matches that way, although, I barely ever get to the G1 final, always the semi final for some reason…

I also went to the pub today with my mate Steve, was good, played some pool, drank some drinks, ate some food. Was a good afternoon out and I haven’t been out in a while.

Applying for Work & University

So, I am currently looking for work. It’s not going great because there’s not a lot of stuff available. None of the awesome jobs like in Game or Gamestation, mostly super market jobs and other places nobody wants to work. I’m in the process of rewriting my CV as the first draft was a bit shit and probably explains why I was getting turned away without a phone call or an e-mail.

I’m also applying for uni, I did so last year but because I was having personal troubles I had to turn the place down, I asked to defer but the university made me completely withdraw. I’ve left it a bit late though, the deadline is the 22nd and my application has to be in to my old college by monday. Don’t worry though, it’s completed I just have to pay a fee of £9 to have the application sent. So if anybody’s reading this please wish me luck with my application it would really mean a lot.
