Street Fighter Taught Me a Life Lesson

This probably sounds pretty stupid but honest to god Street Fighter IV taught me a life lesson. Being a speaker of the English language I had always heard of the phrase ‘practice makes perfect’ I’m prety sure everybody has but I never REALLY believed in it. I mean I knew you had to practice at at something to be good at it but it really took until Street Fighter IV for something to demonstrate this to me so vividly. I really saw myself imporve. Well you can see for yourself here. Me when I first started playing and me now. Shame I didn’t find math fun enough to spend 600 hours practicing it as well eh? Haha.
I Found It! Huzzah

Tatsunoko vs Capcom, I finally bloody found it. I went in search for it yesterday because I was in town for my job seeker’s appointment and had to go into about 5 different shops to find it. WHSmiths, Game, Gamestation, Cex and Blockbuster. And of all the places Blockbuster were the ones who had it. I’m alright at it at the moment. But it’s a pretty steep learning curve coming from Street Fighter 4. Although as SF4 has taught me practice makes you pretty good. And it is pretty damn satisfying to pull off a 50 hit combo, even if it requires almost no timing, haha.
Working in a Charity Shop is Better Than You’d Think

Yeah, so I work in a charity shop now. Started yesterday, all of the people that work there are really nice as you’d expect, I like it, it’s a super relaxing atmosphere. I was kinda scared about going in at first because I was worried I’d have to work on the till, but luckily I didn’t, turns out there is about 5 people out the back sorting out stuff people bring in. Why do people bring in video tapes though? Honestly who watches them any more? Haha.
I’ve been playing quite a lot of Street Fighter as a usually do, I often get a bit crazy with my character choices sometimes, I try and play every character I can (because it’s more fun that way) but then realise I’ve had no practice with any of them them and thus lose. So I’ve decided to stick to the characters I know (Sakura, Dan and Abel), at least in championship matches because I tend to win a lot more matches that way, although, I barely ever get to the G1 final, always the semi final for some reason…
I also went to the pub today with my mate Steve, was good, played some pool, drank some drinks, ate some food. Was a good afternoon out and I haven’t been out in a while.
